Le Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers( CNAM) is a national university offering programs to the doctoral level throughout France, elsewhere in Europe and in French overseas territories. Degrees up to the doctoral level can be earned at CNAM. The main campus is located at the Arts et Metiers station of the Paris Metro in the 3rd Arrondissement. CNAM is one of the world's largest universities, with an enrollment of 80,000. It was founded in 1793.

Wendell Cox is a visiting professor at CNAM, where he conducts seminars, classes and research on transport and demographics.
